ZINASU BULAWAYO Launches The Bulawayo Students Voice

Following a historic provincial congress on the 15th of October 2011, the newly elected executive, led by Cde Joram "Joe Tongo " Chikwadze has set itself on the journey of reviving the students union and rekindling  students conciousness and vibrancy.
The provincial leadership has broken new grounds and launched the first ever students' regional publication in the country, The  Bulawayo Students' Voice(BSV) in an effort to build a conscious student mass in the region. The BSV, being run by the provincial pressroom, will be a bi-weekly publication in both print and electronic format. The print publication will be available on main campus notice boards on tertiary institutions around the region, with a limited number of copies available for free circulation due to resource constraints. Students with access to modern technologies will be privileged to receive this publication on their e-mail, and also access it through their Facebook accounts by befriending " Zinasu Bulawayo" and also joining the group "The Bulawayo Students Voice" . The publication will also be available on  Zinasu Bulawayo regions' blogsite : www.zinasubulawayo.blogspot.com. The links to the electronic version can also be accessed through following us on twitter : "Zinasu Bulawayo". To receive the publication by email, please subscribe by sending an email to bulawayostudentsvoice@yahoo.com/zinasubulawayoregion@gmail.com. Students with articles they wish to have published can also e-mail them to the same email.  SMSs can also be sent to 0735 280 925/0775311419. The regional leadership wishes to use this as a platform for intellectuals in different institutions to share information and insight into a wide range of issues, academic, social or otherwise.
The provincial executive has laid down a  "First 90 days Plan of Action" which among other things, encompasses the setting up of sub-committees to look into issues of the Students Charter and also the students participation in broader issues of development with a particular emphasis on MDGs.

Play your part, lets blast the unpleasant history with our vibrant presence. Working together we will make a difference. Its is not only just that we can, but we will and we WILL.
